With spring in full swing and summer around the corner, Kölsch has become our go-to summer beer at Franzel. This iconic beer hails from Cologne and is a protected beer style. Kölsch is top-fermented with ale yeast, then cold-conditioned like a lager, creating a clear, pale gold beer with a light body, subtle fruity esters, a soft malt character, and a dry finish. Right now we are pouring Reissdorf Kölsch fresh on tap, served in traditional Stange glasses on a Kranz Träger.
