Fränzel draws inspiration from German culinary traditions and the Markgräflerland region of Baden-Württemberg, often called Germany’s Tuscany. The area is known for wine, sunshine, Freiburg, Staufen, Heitersheim, historic villages, thermal spas, and farm-to-table food culture. Chef Franz Brendle’s family comes from this region, shaping the restaurant’s menu and identity.
